Reactr lets people record their reaction to a movie trailer and share the clip. Recording someone is the most sensitive thing this site does, so that is what this policy leads with. Everything here describes what the software actually does, not what it might do.
Nothing is recorded until you tap Start Reaction. Before that point you are shown a consent notice naming what is captured, why, how long it is kept, and how to delete it, and you have to tick a box to continue. Declining costs you nothing and is not a dead end.
Reactr does not create a face template, a faceprint, a voiceprint, or any other biometric identifier. Your recording is treated as ordinary video and audio content. No face recognition, voice recognition, emotion detection, age estimation, or identity matching is run against it, and none of it is used to train a model.
The full session recording, and every piece of it you upload, are permanently deleted within 30 days. Your finished clip stays up until you delete it.
You can delete everything at any point. Use Cancel and Delete while you are recording, or the delete control on your finished clip afterwards. Deletion removes the recording and the clip, not merely the link to them.
Your clip is yours. It is not published anywhere by default. If you tick the option to be featured, the clip may be shown on Reactr or by the campaign it belongs to. If you do not, it stays private to you and to the small number of Reactr staff who handle support and processing.
Most of Reactr is a catalogue of film pages, actor pages, and creator pages that you can read without an account and without recording anything.
We measure page visits so we know which pages are worth writing. Your IP address is never stored. It is combined with a secret and the current date and reduced to a one-way hash, which means the same visitor counts once per day and cannot be followed from one day to the next. The hash changes every day by design. We also record the country a visit came from, the page requested, and the referring site.

Reactr sets no third-party advertising or tracking cookies of any kind.
Creators who claim a profile, and staff who use administrative tools, sign in through Clerk, which handles authentication and stores the credentials. Reactr keeps the account identifier so a claimed profile and any sessions belong to the right person.
Reactr displays information about films, people, and videos that those services publish:
Reactr uses YouTube API Services to read publicly available information only: the titles, durations, publish dates, and public view and like counts of official trailers and publicly posted creator reaction videos, and the public name, avatar, and subscriber count of the channels that posted them, including channels whose owners connect them to their own Reactr profile. This is the "API Data" Reactr accesses, collects, and stores. It is used for one purpose: showing you which trailers and reactions exist, with credit and a link to the source video and channel on YouTube.
Reactr never asks you to sign in with your Google or YouTube account, requests no YouTube account permissions, and therefore cannot access anyone's private YouTube data, watch history, or subscriptions. No YouTube API Data about you as a visitor is collected at all: the player serves video directly from YouTube, and what Reactr reads through the API is information video creators have already made public.
How long API Data is kept. Stored public metadata is refreshed from YouTube, or deleted, on a rolling cycle of thirty days or less; a video or channel that is no longer public on YouTube is removed from Reactr's records. Public statistics, and the Reactr Rating and Reactr Verdict scores derived from them, are retained for up to thirty-six months, consistent with YouTube's policies for derived metrics and stored statistics. The Reactr Rating and Reactr Verdict are Reactr's own independently generated measurements and are not YouTube metrics.
Reactr does not sell personal information, does not share it with data brokers, and does not run third-party advertising trackers on the site.
Recordings and clips are held in object storage, and the records describing them in a hosted Postgres database, both operated on Reactr's behalf by its hosting providers in the United States. If you are outside the United States, using Reactr means your information is processed there.
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. For a recording you made, the delete control on the clip does this immediately and you do not need to ask anyone. For anything else, get in touch and we will action it.
If you are in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, those rights include access, correction, deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for using them. Reactr does not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, so there is nothing to opt out of.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our basis for recording you is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by deleting the recording.
Reactr is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly record them. If you believe a child has recorded a reaction, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is recorded or how long it is kept, the consent notice in the studio changes with it, and you will be asked to agree again before your next recording. The consent you gave is stored with its version, so we always know which wording you agreed to.
