We took 465 theatrical releases from 2021 to 2026, found 2,289 creator reaction videos to their trailers and films, read over 530,000 audience comments under those videos, and ran today's scorer over all of it. Then we checked the scores against what the films actually did at the box office.
These are historical model scores, not Reactr Ratings. Nothing on this page was published at the time. Each score is the current method applied to archived videos and comments years later, so it shows what the method would have said, with hindsight about which videos exist. Published Reactr Ratings are on the rated titles list and are frozen in the ledger before a film opens.
Across 221 titles, a forecast from theaters, budget, sequel, genre and season missed the opening weekend by a median 40.9%. Adding the creator trailer score (41%) or the audience comments (40.6%) did not move that. How loud people were about a trailer did not tell us how big the opening would be.
For the 175 titles with a clean second weekend, the baseline missed the hold by a median 18.7%. The creator verdict brought that to 18.2%, and audience comments posted after release to 17.1%. What people say after seeing a film carries a real, modest signal about whether it holds.
On the live calibration set, adding comments to creator voices raised agreement with Rotten Tomatoes from 0.33 to 0.44, with Metacritic from 0.35 to 0.50, and with CinemaScore from 0.41 to 0.49 (rank correlation). The samples are small, 16 to 21 titles, so read it as a direction, not a result.
This study is why the audience layer exists. It runs beside the published method as Method 1.7 and changes nothing public until it earns its place; the methodology page says when that happens.
