Honest answer: the same rules apply here as anywhere else. For most titles, the trailer plays from YouTube while you record, and your clip is your reaction, not the studio footage, which keeps it well clear of Content ID. On cleared studio campaigns, the trailer footage is licensed for the platform and rides in your clip. As those partnerships expand, so does the cleared list.

No. A video you pick from your device plays in your browser, straight off your disk. It is never sent to our servers. Only your camera recording is uploaded, so we can cut your clip.
