Onstage he’s a prowler – menacing, apoplectic, and snarling like a young Joe Strummer. Rage Against the Dying of the Light is not only a portrait of an artist, but a snapshot of a challenging time in Irish culture amid a massive housing crisis and a fear of artistic homogenisation – highlighting the importance of dissenting, unique and rousing voices.
