Cherie has the life every college student wants: a close family, a bright future, and a mother, Breanna, who has fought hard to give her both. But the past has a long memory.
When Cherie strikes up a friendship with the magnetic, volatile Madison, she has no idea the two of them are already connected, by a night years ago that Breanna has spent a lifetime trying to bury. As Madison pulls Cherie deeper into her orbit, someone begins circling the family: watching, threatening, closing in. By the time Cherie understands who the stalker really is, and what they want, the truth about her mother's past is already at the door.
Shot entirely on location in Kansas City, My Cherie Amour is a slow-burn suspense thriller about the secrets parents keep, the debts that come due, and how far a family will go to protect its own.

Produced independently by AGA Productions and shot entirely on location in Kansas City, Missouri, with a local cast and crew. The film is a slow burn: church interiors, night streets and close quarters, with a retro, synthwave-tinted mood and a twist the trailer keeps hidden.
Cast
Omar Gooding (Baby Boy, Smart Guy, Ghost Dad, Family Time) plays Pastor James. Kansas City actors Ashton Farris and Ariana Tolbert take the lead roles, with Darrell Walker and Aletha Penn in support.
Music and release
The end titles feature "The Hunger" by French synthwave artist YOTA (New Retro Wave Records), with a score by charting artist Suli4Q. The film premiered to a packed hometown audience in Kansas City before its streaming release through Indie Rights; it is now available to rent or buy on Amazon in the US.
