Ayman El Bandki, better known as Bondoki, is a Marrakech-based indie filmmaker who shoots, directs, and edits his own projects from the ground up. Entirely self-taught, he picked up a Nikon D7000 at 17 and taught himself editing through cracked software and sheer stubbornness. No industry connections. Just a camera and a city full of stories.
Five years into his photography journey, Bondoki made the leap to filmmaking with a clear mission: show Marrakech the way he sees it. Not the postcard version, not the tourist gaze, his own version of the city. The medina as it actually feels. The light, the noise, the quiet corners that visitors never find.
